The stove is on

I wanted to share a weird memory.

A couple years ago, my youngest sister and I were home alone. I was in my room and she was in the kitchen, preparing scrambled eggs for her breakfast. When the food was ready she went to the living room to watch TV as she ate. Some guy on the TV, a character on the show she was watching said “Hey, you left the stove on” to another character.

My sister went to the kitchen, and effectively - the stove was on. She came to me crying hysterically, because she had left the stove on and some guy on TV told her so. She stayed in bed with me all morning until my parents came home.

Weird, huh? At least that guy on TV saved us from a stove fire that could have consumed our house.
