OMFG back off!
I hate when people bombard me with facebook applications. A while ago, I had a lot of application requests after not logging in for a week, but it’s only been one day and look at this:

Right now I can’t decide who’s worse, Myspace or Facebook.
By the way, last night was my best night ever, with the Iron Maiden concert. I couldn’t believe I had the band of my dreams right in front of me. My heart still pounds to the rhythm of their songs. I cried in almost every song as I screamed my lungs out (I was voiceless afterwards XD) and came out with a head ache of all the jumping and head banging. Up the irons!

Ugh. Facebook applications. DIEEEEEE. DIEDIEDIE. Facebook is SO BORING anyway. :P
Glad you had fun at the concert!
I have over 200 =/ I stopped checking them. Once in a while, when I’m feeling a bit OC, I ignore all the invites, but most of the time, I just ignore.
I loathe Facebook applications, most of them are useless and stupid. Anyways, I’m glad you had fun at the Iron Maiden Concert :).
Another reason why Facebook is… *fill in the blank*
I remember, I had a Facebook for a week before I deleted it. You can only take so many of those ‘SeXYbab3 poked you! Poke Back?’ notices.
Ugh, I hate facebook applications too. However, I still think it’s better than myspace, I cannot stand the layouts of myspace and how so many of them just play bad music obnoxiously without asking. -_-
Go on a application blocking spree or delete unnecessary “friends”. That’s what I’ve done. Though, luckily, Facebook is taking measures that if an annoying application gets enough block requests, they remove it! :D
One word: FUNWALL. I absolutely DESPISE the FunWall app! Yet everytime I log into Facebook, there’s always an idiot who sent a FunWall invite/video/whatever.
P.S. I found and embeded (I didn’t film it) a video of the “Aces High” opening on my last post — check it out and re-bask in it’s AWESOMENESS!! I get the urge to scream and jump around everytime I watch it!! Maiden will live forever dammit!!
P.P.S. Sorry for the overuse of exclamation marks!!
OMG I hateee FB appliations as well! I stopped using FB once they released those. It’s so funny because sometimes it takes like 10 minutes to find someone’s wall because their page is filled with applications.
It’s quite annoying. I have:
2 friend requests
1 event invitation
8 friends for sale invitations
165 other requests
:)
Facebook is worse — with myspace bulletins you can just ignore them and you don’t have to click the “ignore” or “no I do not want to accept this invitation” buttons. It takes ages — one of my family members sends me about thirty invites at a time. I get seriously stressed by it. :P
That’s what the “ignore all” button is for ;) What was like without THAT feature!
Well said!
Yet people still try to convince me to get a MySpace/Facebook account. *rolls eyes*
By the look of that screencap, Myspace is better — I never get invitations, kisses, or applications or any of that o_0
I know what you mean! Before the application overload, Facebook was a gazillion times better than Myspace. Now, it’s only a hundred times better :P
All of those pointless Facebook applications need to die. I ignore most of my requests, but it’s annoying when someone has so many applications that their profile takes a year to load and another year to scroll down.
I have a Facebook AND a Myspace.
After this post, I’m thinking I should get rid of both…they are very annoying.
I ignore those things. I don’t mean that I click ignore; I just ignore them. :D Most of my friends and I joined Facebook before it had all of that flashy stuff, so I don’t get a lot of requests because they don’t know how to use them and only check Facebook once a month (like me).
I don’t even have a myspace.
I never ever used anything such as MySpace or Facebook.
1. I hated them
2. I think they are tood annoying.
That’s two of my best reasons why I don’t use them. Give me some more minutes and I will come up with double.
Very nice website Lene !
About facebook, i agree that it’s a bit annoying :D
OMG! So many applications! That’s insane! I thought MINE was bad!
Thank heavens Facebook decided to put that ignore all button, I rejoiced when I saw that option lol. I hate apps, they clog up my profile, I don’t get how people are so obsessed with them O_o;
I remember clicking “ignore” for about 30 minutes last Winter Break. Meeh.
Just quit facebook all together! It is the DEVIL! As is myspace. Ha.
Ok, there are worse things in the world. MAYBE.
And I’m so glad you had a good time at the Iron Maiden concert!
I do have a Facebook account but I rarely use it and I never receive requests like that. It sucks that it happens for you. Perhaps hyves.net is a good alternative? :) Anyway, I’m glad you had fun at the concert. It’s great, isn’t it, to see the band of your dreams in front of you? :D Glad you had a nice time.
Oh dear oh dear. I like my Home screen clean so my notifications are dealt with immediately. You should try Block All apps.
Lol, Don’t worry! Just wait till you get enough, you will get something that says you have 103 other requests… and the long list will be gone…
just like mine… lol
At least Facebook doesn’t let people attack their profile pages with bad HTML.
Facebook applications, one of the very banes of my existence. I recently had a moan about MySpace and Facebook in my blog. Social networking sites really are going down the pan.
You can block applications on Facebook, but yeah, it’s so annoying. Some apps now force you to invite people before you can join, so maybe that’s why you’ve been getting so many. I think MySpace is worse though, I can’t stand all the glittery seizure-inducing things my friends put in their profile.
WTF - “check out my baby” ?! :O
