I’m full of hatred
After a very angering experience about an hour ago, I was thinking: am I really this full of hatred? And the answer is… yes. But it’s not so bad.
For every thing that I love, there is its opposite, which I hate. So it’s a pretty nice balance. When my hate for something comes to light, then I realize how much I actually love the opposite feeling.
An hour ago, I inserted a dollar in a juice vending machine. I pressed the button for grape juice and nothing came out. I pressed it again, and nothing. So I pressed the button for apple juice, and nothing happened. I ended up pressing every single button, and the stupid machine didn’t give me my juice. I pressed the money-return button and it didn’t give my dollar back either.
I wouldn’t have been so angry if:
- I hadn’t been so thirsty,
- I hadn’t been so hungry,
- I wasn’t late for work and
- That wasn’t my last dollar
But yeah, I was hungry, thirsty, late for work and that was my last dollar. So I just walked away from the vending machine (that was secretly laughing at me, I know) and went to work.
I was (and still am) very angry and thinking of how much I hated that machine and the situation. So I realized how much I love when I press the buttons of vending machines and my juice actually comes out. I also love when the money comes out after pressing the money-returning button.
So even though I’m full of hatred, it’s not a terrible thing, because I am equally full of love. Cheesy, but balanced. Now I just have to learn to love the small things.
Now, who hates those stupid vending machines? :P

Vending machines, they were the bane of my existence when I was at college. When I was thirsty/hungry, it was typical for items to get stuck or for my money not to be returned. Sometimes I would select a chocolate bar and would get a packet of crisps instead.
I’m sure vending machines have it in for us.
I’ve had that problem before, too. == That’s why I’m always cautious about using vending machines XD
I can’t hate on vending machines, as much as they suck, because they were my life support in college. The vending machines at my university were incredibly fertile — I’d say 1 out of 5 times I always ended up with something extra! Once I got two bags of Doritos AND two cans of Coke — both for the price of one! I definitely hit jackpot there :P
I haven’t actually had any bad experiences with the vending machines in my area… except that if your dollar is too wrinkly, the machine won’t take it. A good whack always does the trick. ;)
Ha ha, this was cute. At my old school, there was this vending machine… it bugged me so much. It had the best juice and the best flavors. But, if you pressed the wrong button, you’d get the wrong flavor. Eventually I mastered the machine.
Press grape, get apple.
Press apple, get orange.
Press orange, get lemonade.
Press lemonade, get grape.
Odd. Don’t you think?
This made me hate vending machines, just like you!
Vending machines are horrible, I never use them. :(
There’s only one vending machine in my previous school and it only sell Coke products plus 95% of the time, it’s not available. I think buying at the convenience store outside is much cheaper and less headache-inducing.
LOHOHOHOHOLZ. I’d have been furious, too!
Mmm, yeah I’ve kicked vending machines before when that has happened. Sometimes the thing I want ends up popping out, so hey get a little violent with the darn thing next time and maybe it’ll say uncle!
I hate faulty vending machines like that. It can be so annoying especially when you’re so parched. I’ve been there before so I can relate. And you know what sucks? It sucks when you’re out of a dollar and you try to go tell someone who works there and basically you’re SOL lol.
*raises hand*
I think that the place that has the vending machine just wants extra money from the people, so that’s why they install it. I simply hate vending machines, but it’s the only way to get food at school since all the lunch lines are a mile long.
Sometimes I get lucky, and if something’s stuck all I have to do is whack it really hard and it gives me two snacks.
I once experienced the feeling when my drink didn’t come out of the vending machine. At that time, I gave it a good kick and the drink automatically comes out like magic. Maybe go back and give it a good shove to see if your drink comes out?
I hate when machines eat your money. It’s happened to me before.
