[November 20th, 2008]I broke the virgin

I saw my friend Denise today and she invited me to a Christmas party she is going to host next month. We know each other since the 7th grade (in 2003 2000, lol) and started to remember good old times.

Good old time #1: My first driving oops-moment

I broke the virgin

I was so happy all this time not remembering that incident, but yeah, that’s what good old friends are for. They are your dark past’s incarnation. I don’t break virgins these days, though. I’m a good driver now. I swear.

How about now you share your driving oops-moments?

Note: Today’s lovely image is brought to you by MS Paint.

I have never driven before in my life. Since I’m 17 I’m not allowed :(

My one major driving goof was the time when a huge spider jumped on my leg out of nowhere, causing me to crash into a pole, knocking off my side view mirror in the process. Also, this was in front of like 20 or so people, so it was super embarrassing. I parked my car in the nearest parking space and just ducked down low for like for like 20 minutes. =S

Hee, hee I have this un-natural obsession with trees in fields. I live on a farm & so we take the truck out into the field to fix fences and check on the cows. Well, I learned to drive when I was about 8 years old. My problem was no matter where I was I would always run the truck head first into a tree. Never fast or anything, but it was always head first. I never knew how it happened but I never could stop it from happening. I always swore the truck had a love affair with trees & just had to kiss them or something. My parents & grandparents thought it was the funniest thing ever & would make me drive even though they knew what would happen. I never hurt anyone or the tree. Though the truck eventually got a dent in the front bumper from the repeated hits. Luckily, since I got my car, I no longer run into trees, but if I take the truck out into the field the truck still tries to run into a tree. I think that truck is possessed.

    Hehe, my driving oops-moment :D

Well, I drove with my friend in my Mini Cooper (http://www.jebelle.net/Myspace/mini.jpg). I didn’t have my driver’s license too long, so I didn’t have the experience.

A Porsche drove infront of me and took a perpendicular curve in a very high speed. I of course thought “My mini can do that too”. Well - FAIL! We ended up turning and spinning and stopped on the other side of the road. We were lucky - no other cars were coming.

I was in a shock and needed a smoke ;) (I still smoked back then) My friend was calm and said “that’s not the first time I’ve been in a spinning car” :D

Since then, I take curves of 90° very slow ;)

I haven’t had any driving oops moments yet … XD cuz i haven’t really started learning yet. I will soon though!

Haha, good friends definitely remember awesome things like that. That is definitely hilarious and I love your illustration.

The only thing I’ve ever done is knock my mirror half off my car driving to college half asleep out of my driveway on one of the picketts on our fence. :P

  7. Amanda says:

That’s such a misleading title Lene, for a moment I thought you meant you broke an actual virgin, as you took someone’s virginity. :P

  8. Clem says:

    ^ Same as Amanda.

I… break things all the time, sad to say. I’ve never run over anything, because I can’t drive, but I’ve stepped on things, dropped things, dropped things on things, etc.

    Mislead intended ;)

  10. Kaylee says:

That’s one reason I’m scared of driving when I’m actually old enough to get my license: the possibility of killing a virgin and angering God :P

I’m just wondering who left a virgin lying around on the ground anyway?? ;)

  11. Robmarie says:

LOL… I immediately thought dirty when I read the title!! Heheh XD

Anywho, yeah! Old friends can be terrible. I have a friend whom I don’t really see anymore, but when I do she always starts talking about Dragon Ball Z and the fanfiction I used to write… -_-;;; And that was when… 8th grade??? It’s a little mortifying and sad, but that’s just how it is for her, I guess.

Oh my gosh! The first time I drove I was in a paddock, with a pair of llamas, a herd of cattle and one huge pig. The pig came and stood in front of the car and would not move.

Of course the logical thing to do would have been to just drive around it, but since I had never driven before, I was having enough trouble not hitting any of the animals without having to circumnavigate the biggest, fattest, angriest looking pig I have ever seen in my life.

Eventually, my uncle, who was teaching me, got out and waved his arms and shook his fists to frighten it away!

    I’m 14. I still have 1..2..3..4 years to go.

And no way that painting is from MS Paint. Trying to use it is like mission impossible.

  14. Veronica says:

One time I accidently smashed in the rear fender on my dad’s car. I was backing up, and thought I had more room than I did. My foot slipped on the gas and I hit a dumpster enclosure made of brick pretty hard.

My dad was soo pissed. Apparently he was planning on trading it like that following Monday. He ended up selling it like 5 years later. I don’t even know if he fixed it before he sold it.

  15. Eina says:

Haha, I like the connotation in your title! Hmm, I haven’t had any driving experiences yet since I haven’t driven at all, but hopefully, I won’t go hitting religious figures. I don’t know why, but just breaking them scares me.

I once thought this figurine of the Sto. Nino (that’s supposed to be the n with the tilde, and he’s a figurine of the Christ Jesus?) blinked at me once. Scary. =/

Anyways… I’m that old friend that makes you remember stuff. I just have a knack for remembering these things haha.
